Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, August 2021

In August 2021 the value of imports reached USD16,678.9 million, up 9.28 percent (USD1,415.8 million) compared to the previous month. Similarly, the volume rose 1.70 percent to 236.6 thousand tons. The import value in August 2021 consisted of oil and gas USD2,049.2 million (12.29 percent) and non-oil and gas USD14,629.7 million (87.71 percent). Imports in August 2021 were dominated by three main origin countries, namely China USD35,044.5 million (28.50 percent), followed by Singapore USD9,865.0 million (8.02 percent), and Japan USD9,034.9 million (7.35 percent). Meanwhile, the loading port in DKI Jakarta is still the main loading point for imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 49.29 percent (USD60,616.9 million).
