Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports August 2020

In August 2020 the import value reached USD10,742.4 million, up 2.66 percent (USD278.1 million) over the previous month. Likewise, the volume rose 4.56 percent to 11,839.6 thousand tons. The import value of August 2020 consisted of oil and gas imports of USD949.8 million (8.84 percent) and non-oil and gas imports of USD9,792.6 million (91.16 percent).
The three main import origin countries during January-August 2020 were occupied by China with USD24,941.5 million (27.08 percent), followed by Singapore with USD8,186.7 million (8.89 percent), and Japan with USD7,343.7 million ( 7.97 percent). Meanwhile, the loading port in DKI Jakarta Province is still the main loading point for imported goods in Indonesia with a share of 51.07 percent (USD47,040.6 million).
