BPS Chief Statistician Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti and her team visited the General Elections Commission (KPU) of Indonesia to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Cooperation Agreement on March 14. The agreement focuses on sharing and using statistical and voter data to support the integration of the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN), in line with Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2025.
As part of the collaboration, KPU’s voter data will be integrated with DTSEN, which is managed by BPS. Amalia emphasized that this partnership is more than just a formal process—it reflects a joint commitment to building a reliable, accurate, and comprehensive data system. She also stressed that the collaboration will enhance BPS’s data quality while ensuring strict protection of personal information.
"BPS will secure and protect the data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law, ensuring confidentiality is upheld," Amalia said. Beyond data sharing, BPS will also support KPU in developing human resources and improving statistical information systems.
KPU Chairman Mochammad Afifuddin welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the importance of working together to make better use of voter data. He added that the partnership allows KPU’s data to be shared with BPS in compliance with existing regulations.
