BPS Receives Audience from Kemendesa

Jakarta -Friday afternoon (28/01/2022), the Director General for the Acceleration of Development of Disadvantaged Regions at the Ministry of Villages, Eko Sri Haryanto, and his staff held an audience with the Central Statistics Agency. Met directly by the Head of BPS, Margo Yuwono, Eko conveyed matters related to strategy and collaboration in an effort to make development programs for underdeveloped regions successful in the 2020-2024 period. He hopes that BPS can provide support for the acceleration of development of underdeveloped regions through the data it has, namely Village Potential data (Podes), National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS), Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), and also Macro Data.

Margo, who was present along with the deputies, welcomed the proposed collaboration idea and was ready to take on a role. According to him, harmonization and improvement of data management in ministries and agencies are also needed so that there is no more overlapping data and the formulation of policies can be more optimal.

In the future, Margo hopes, villages will no longer be considered as objects of development but will be placed as subjects and spearheads of development in improving people's welfare. (#HumasNews/Hans)
