In May 2024, the import value reached US$19,399.5 million, an increase of US$2,503.9 million (14.82 percent) compared to the previous month. Likewise, import volume fell 11.39 percent to 19,173.3 thousand tons. The import value in May 2024 consists of oil and gas imports of US$2,748.2 million (14.17 percent) and non-oil and gas imports of US$16,651.3 million (85.83 percent) Imports in May 2024 were dominated by China at USD27,454.7 million, with a role of 30.11 percent. Meanwhile, the unloading port in DKI Jakarta Province is still the main unloading place for imported goods in Indonesia worth USD40,194.1 million (44.08 percent).
