Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, May 2023

In May 2023 the import value reached US$21,279.6 million, an increase of US$5,931.0 million (38.64 percent) compared to the previous month. Likewise, the volume of imports rose 35.04 percent to 18,769.4 thousand tons. Import value consisted of oil and gas imports of US$3,135.1 million (14.73 percent) and non-oil and gas imports of US$18,144.5 million (85.27 percent) Imports in January-May 2023 are dominated by China USD 25,515.5 million (27.86 percent), followed by Singapore USD 6,991.7 million (7.63 percent), and Japan USD 6,880.8 million (7.51 percent). The unloading port in DKI Jakarta Province is still the main unloading place for imported goods in Indonesia worth USD 42,431.6 million (46.33 percent)
