Distribution Channel of Sugar Year 2021

Distribution channel describes the flow of a commodity from the producer to the final consumer in a region that involves some trading business or intermediaries. This publication analyzes the distribution flow of sugar nationally and regionally, with respondents (producer, wholesaler, and retailer) spreading across 308 cities/municipalities in 34 provinces.The survey results show that shallot distribution from producer to final consumer in 34 provinces may involve 3 to 7 intermediaries. The national main channel is Producer (Sugar Manufacture) – Distributor – Merchant Wholesaler – Final Consumer with total TTM 25,86 percent, which indicates an increase in price from producer to final consumer based the main channel.Keywords: distribution flow, sugar, TTM, Total TTM
