Distribution Channel of Rice Year 2021

Distribution channel describes the flow of a commodity from the producer to the final consumer in a region that involves some trading business or intermediaries. This publication analyzes the distribution flow of rice nationally and regionally, with respondents (producer, wholesaler, and retailer) spreading across 347 cities/municipalities in 34 provinces.The survey results show that rice distribution from producer to final consumer in 34 provinces may involve 3 to 8 intermediaries. The national main channel is Producer – Distributor – Traditional retailer – Final Consumer with total TTM 21,47 percent, which indicates an increase in price from producer to final consumer based the main channel.Keywords: distribution flow, rice, TTM, Total TTM
