Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, May 2021

In May 2021 the value of imports reached USD14,234.8 million, down 12.15 percent (USD1,969,5 million) compared to the previous month. Similarly, the volume fell 5.01 percent to 14,590.5 thousand tons. The import value in May 2021 consisted of oil and gas USD 2,061.9 million (14.48 percent) and non-oil and gas USD 12,172.9 million (85.52 percent). Imports in May 2021 were dominated by three main origin countries, namely China USD 20,874.7 million (28.28 percent), followed by Singapore USD 6,076.0 million (8.23 percent), and Japan USD 5,292.4 million (7.17 percent). Meanwhile, the loading port in DKI Jakarta is still the main loading point for imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 49.08 percent (USD 36,228.6 million).
