Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, October 2019

In October 2019 the value of imports reached USD14,759.1 million, up 3.47 percent (USD495.6 million) compared to the previous month. Likewise the volume rose 0.73 percent to 13,605.3 thousand tons. The import value of October 2019 consisted of oil and gas USD 1,755.3 million (11.89 percent) and non-oil and gas USD 13,003.8 million (88.11 percent). Of the total import value from January to October 2019, the main countries of origin were China with USD 36,556.4 million (25.95 percent), followed by Singapore with USD 14,254.3 million (10.12 percent), and Japan with USD 13,297.8 million (9.44 percent). Viewed from the category of use of economic goods, imports were still dominated by raw / auxiliary materials at USD104,331.4 million (74.06 percent), followed by capital goods at USD23,455.4 million (16.65 percent), and consumer goods at USD13,093 4 million (9.29 percent). While DKI Jakarta Province is still a place for loading and unloading of major imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 52.08 percent (USD73,376.2 million).
