Abstract


In April 2019 the value of imports reached USD15,399.2 million, up 14.48 percent (USD1,948.1 million) compared to the previous month. Similarly, the volume increased by 7.78 percent to 14,143.0 thousand tons. The import value of April 2019 consisted of oil and gas imports of USD2,235.4 million and non-oil and gas imports of USD13,163.8 million.
Of the total import values ​​from January to April 2019, the main country of origin was China with USD14,518.2 million (25.89 percent), followed by Japan with USD5,344.2 million (9.53 percent), and Singapore with USD5,178.9 million (9.24 percent). Viewed from the category of economic goods usage, raw / auxiliary material imports were still dominated by USD42,119.1 million (75.12 percent), followed by capital goods of USD9,111.3 million (16.25 percent), and consumer goods of USD4,837 , 3 million (8.63 percent).
According to the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) 1 class of goods, the main imported goods group is machinery and transportation equipment with a value of USD17,951.2 million (32.02 percent). During January-April 2019 the ports found in the DKI Jakarta Province are still the place to unload the main imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 52.53 percent (USD29,450.9 million).
