Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, July 2018

In July 2018, the import value reached USD18,297.1 million, up 62.38 percent (USD7,029.2 million) compared to the previous month. Likewise, the volume increased by 51.13 percent to 15,532.9 thousand tons. Import value in July 2018 consists of oil and gas imports of USD2,660.0 million and non-oil and gas USD15,637.1 million.

The total import value from January to July 2018, the main country of origin is occupied by China (23.26 percent), followed by Singapore (11.39 percent), and Japan (9.75 percent). Judging from the class of economic goods usage, the import of raw / auxiliary materials was still dominated by USD80,544.6 million (75.03 percent), followed by capital goods USD16,908.0 million (15.75 percent), and consumer goods USD9,896 , 1 million (9.22 percent).

According to the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) 1 class of goods, the main group of imported goods is the machinery and transportation equipment group with a value of USD34,069.5 million (31.74 percent). During January-July 2018 the ports in DKI Jakarta Province were still the main loading and unloading of imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 50.30 percent (USD53,991.9 million).
