Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI) in 2019 will reach 71.92

Abstract

  • Human development in Indonesia continues to progress. In 2019, the Human Development Index (HDI) of Indonesia will reach 71.92. This figure increased by 0.53 points or grew by 0.74 percent compared to 2018.
  • Babies born in 2019 have a hope of being able to live up to 71.34 years, 0.14 years longer than those born the previous year.
  • Children who are 7 years old in 2019 have the hope of being able to enjoy 12.95 years of education (almost equivalent to the period of education to complete Diploma I), 0.04 years longer than those of the same age in 2018.
  • The population aged 25 years and over had an average education of 8.34 years (almost equivalent to the period of education to complete grade IX), 0.17 years longer than the previous year.
  • In 2019, Indonesians meet their daily needs with an average adjusted per capita expenditure (PPP) of 11.30 million rupiah per year, an increase of 240 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year's expenditure.
