Abstract

The value of Indonesian exports in April 2002 reached US$ 4.77 billion or roseby 5.11 % over March 2002 exports (US$ 4.54 billion). However, in cumulativeJanuary-April 2002 period, the exports declined by 10.51 % compared to thesame period last year (from US$ 19.65 billion to US$ 17.59 billion).
The performance of exports by sectors reveals that, the exports of agricultural,manufacturing, and mining products and others for January-April 2002 periodexperienced a decrease of 1.67 %, 6.04 %, and 18.38 % over the same period lastyear respectively.
