Statistics Indonesia (BPS) has been awarded a “Very Good” rating in the 2024 Merit System Implementation Assessment for Civil Service Management, placing it among the top-performing government institutions in the Ministry/Agency category. The National Civil Service Agency (BKN) presented the accolade during a ceremony in Jakarta on December 19.

Acting Principal Secretary of BPS, Dadang Hardiwan, received the award from Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Rini Widyantini, and Acting Head of BKN, Haryomo Dwi Putranto. This recognition highlights BPS’s strong commitment to adopting and implementing effective merit-based practices in managing civil servants.

In her address, Minister Widyantini underscored the critical role of bureaucratic reform in improving public welfare. “Under President Prabowo Subianto's directive, our bureaucracy must become more responsive and remove obstacles for the public. We need disciplined, productive civil service management and a focus on enhancing competencies,” she said.

The accolade reflects BPS’s dedication to driving effective governance and reform across the civil service sector.
