Bandung - "West Java, the land of Pasundan is cool, beautiful and comfortable, welcome to the Assessor." That was the welcome from the Head of Administration, BPS of West Java Province, Agus, who was greeted with applause from the participants. He was present representing Dodi Herlando, Head of West Java Province BPS who was unable to attend because he attended the SP2020 Technical Coordination Meeting in Jakarta.
He hoped, in this cool place the participants could follow the event well, produce the best and be able to spread goodness to BPS. Ready to take part so that BPS can bring better and more successful.
The reconciliation of the BPS 2019 Assessment Center Development was held at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Bandung, West Java, on 25-29 November 2019 attended by 26 Psychology Scholars from 26 BPS Provinces throughout Indonesia and 24 people from the Central BPS.
Head of BPS Staffing Bureau, Sugeng Arianto, was pleased to open the workshop. This meeting was last held 5 years ago. "Today we are gathering Psychology Scholars as Assessor who will oversee the Assessment Center development process," Sugeng said optimistically.
There are five priority programs in the new cabinet delivered by the president, but there are only two that are the priorities of BPS. Among them is the development of human resources, especially the construction of ASN. Then, a bureaucratic simplification program that was very prominent in this era and was very viral everywhere.
At the end of his remarks, Sugeng hoped that the candidates for Assessor would have the same competence. Provisions from resource persons from the National Personnel Agency (BKN) will add to our knowledge and experience in efforts to realize plans to build an Assessment Center starting today.
As the speaker of the BKN was the Head of the ASN Competency Assessment Center, Purwanto, who presented material on Competency Assessment Policy based on ASN Law and PP No. 11/2011, Permenpan & RB No. 38 of 2017 concerning ASN Competency standards. Also present was the Head of BKN Standardization Development Division, Christina Nailiu.
