Innas Mapping Training: Directions for SP2020

Batam - "We congratulate you on the mapping training activities," said Zulkipli, Head of BPS, Riau Islands Province. Together with the Director of Census Methodology Development and BPS Survey, Heru Margono, Zulkipli accompanied M. Ari Nugraha, Deputy of Methodology and Statistical Information (MIS) BPS opened the National Instructor Training (Innas) Mapping and Update of Statistics Work Areas (Wilkerstat) Population Census ( SP) 2020, (25/2).

A serious impression was seen at the opening ceremony that night. Ninety participants from central BPS and provincial BPS representatives throughout Indonesia prepared to modify the census design and BPS surveys that had been used so far. The parent framework which originally contained a census block (BS) as the smallest wilkerstat will be equipped with a local environmental unit (SLS) and its cargo.

"This is a challenge in the future for the MIS team. We open ourselves if in the class there will be input on business processes on how activities should be carried out. Do not regret that we did not do things that had occurred during training," explained Ari. He also stressed that the parent framework based on 2018 BS and SLS must be managed and maintained properly.

In this training a field activity simulation will also be carried out, starting from area identification; visited the head of the SLS to get information on regional borders, the number of families and the dominant content; region search; load calculation; description of SLS boundaries; and geotagging of SLS boundaries and infrastructure.
