Pilot SP2010 PES in Cigasong

Upon the completion of SP2010 Practice Run II in Cigasong subdistrict, Majalengka regency, the Pilot SP2010 Post Enumeration Survey was commenced in October 2009. This activity aimed to determine the accuracy level of household and population coverage and accuracy of characteristics content. The activitystages were enumerating all households and population in sampled Census Block, matching enumeration documentys, and subsequentlyfield reconciliation. The pilot PES was taken place in 9 out of 84 census blocks, spread across six subdistricts/villages of the practice run area covered. The enumerators engaged in the pilot PES were those who did not involve in the practice run previously. Prior to the field operation, the enumerators were trained on 13 October 2009 in BPS Jawa Barat office. On October 16, 2009, the Director of Census Methodology Development, Hamonangan Ritonga, visited the subdistrict to directly supervise the SP2010 PES, accompanied by the BPS Jawa Barat Office’s Head of Social Statistics DivisionSri Daty and Head of Statistical Intregrated Processing and Dissemination Ruslan. The supervision activities began with a briefing with field team coordinators, and then conducting ground-check to the sampled census block in Cigasong Village and Kutamanggu village. A week later, the Head of BPS Jawa Barat office Lukman Ismail supervised the activityin Tajur subdistrict. After completing the field enumeration, the matching processbetween enumeration result of Practice Run II and the Pilot PES was initiated.
