Abstract

The 2023 Food and Beverage Service Activities Statistics publication provides information regarding the characteristics or profile of food and beverage services businesses, the number of employment, sales value and total expenditure described in detail, both by province and 2020 KBLI group. The data presented in this publication is the result of Survey of Food and Beverage Service Activities in 2024. Food and beverage service businesses in Indonesia in 2023 will amount to 4.85 million businesses, an increase of around 21.13 percent compared to 2016 amounted to 4.01 million businesses. Based on the division of business groups, 24.75 percent are restaurant and eatery businesses, 14.55 percent are mobile food and beverage service businesses, and 3.48 percent are catering service businesses. The number of workers that can be absorbed reaches 9.80 million workers, an increase of 20.48 percent compared to 2016 which reached 8.13 million workers. During 2023, the sales value of the food and beverage service business will reach 998.37 trillion rupiah, an increase of 48.04 percent from thebusinesssales value in 2016 which reached 674.38 trillion rupiah while the expenditure value reached 601.21 trillion rupiah, or an increase 50.34 percent of business expenditure in 2016 which reached 399.90 trillion rupiah.
