Abstract

The result of the 2023 Crop-Cutting Survey, the profile of maize cultivation shows that around 75.92 percent of maize households cultivated maize on non-paddy fields. Meanwhile, around 43.97 percent of soybean households cultivated soybeans on irrigated paddy fields. The percentage of maize households and soybean households that implemented monoculture planting methods was 79.36 percent and 89.30 percent, respectively.Most maize households (70.75 percent) cultivated hybrid maize varieties, the remaining 6.35 percent cultivated composite varieties and 22.90 percent cultivated local varieties.
