Abstract

AbstractionConsidering the important role of the processing industry sector, especially micro and small industries (IMK), in national GDP, early warning indicators are needed to observe the development of micro and small industries. The micro and small industry production index is produced from the quarterly micro and small industry survey.This publication presents the production index for industrial sectors with a workforce of less than 20 people. The resulting index numbers can describe production developments earlier because they are designed on a quarterly basis. The figures presented are to assess growth. This publication only presents the IMK production index for the period from the first quarter of 2023 to the fourth quarter of 2023 in 2-digit KBLI. The annual growth of IMK manufacturing industry production (y-on-y) in 2023 shows a continuing upward trend with an annual increase of more than 5.43 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2022. The food industry (KBLI 10) from year to year is the industrial group that makes the largest contribution to IMK production growth.
