In September 2023, the import value reached US$17,341.6 million, down US$1,538.2 million (8.15 percent) compared to the previous month. Likewise, import volume fell 4.19 percent to 15,553.0 thousand tons. The import value for September 2023 consists of oil and gas imports of US$3,328.6 million (19.19 percent) and non-oil and gas imports of US$14,013.0 million (80.81 percent) Imports from January to October 2023 were dominated by China USD46,234.9 million (28.10 percent), followed by Singapore USD12,900.0 million (7.84 percent), and Japan USD12,426.0 million (7.55 percent). The unloading port in DKI Jakarta Province is still the main unloading place for imported goods in Indonesia worth USD75,972.1 million (46.18 percent).
