Abstract

Indonesian Environmental Statistics 2021 is a series of annual publications from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) that presents various types of data on environmental conditions in Indonesia, sourced from BPS and other Ministries/Institutions/Institutions. The publication of Environmental Statistics (SLHI) 2021 uses the 2013 Framework for The Development of Environment Statistics (FDES) framework. FDES 2013 is a flexible, multipurpose conceptual and statistical framework that is comprehensive and integrative. The first time FDES was published in 1984 by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) as a framework for the development of environmental statistics. The challenge of meeting energy needs is expected to increase, along with the increase in population. In the Industry 4.0 era and the increasingly widespread use of industrial technology, not only in the non-food sector but also in the agro-industry. Advances in industrial technology in various fields, of course, require a large supply of energy. This is because fossil resources (non-renewable) such as oil and natural gas are running low. This publication has the theme “Energy and the Environment”. The importance of this theme is based on the fact that although Indonesia has the potential for renewable energy spread throughout Indonesia, the use of NRE has not been widely used by the Indonesian people.
