Abstract

Indonesia's imports in 2020 reached USD141,568.8 million, consisting of oil and gas imports of USD14,256.8 million and non-oil and gas imports of USD127,312.0 million. When compared to 2019, the value of imports fell by 17.34 percent due to a decrease in oil and gas imports by 34.86 percent (USD7,628.5 million) and non-oil and gas by 14.78 percent (USD22,078.4 million). The main country of origin of Indonesia's imports is China USD39,634.7 million (28.00 percent), followed by Singapore USD12,341.2 million (8.72 percent), and Japan USD10,672.1 million (7.54 percent). Judging from the category of use of economic goods, imports of raw / auxiliary materials are still dominated by USD103,209.9 million (72.90 percent), followed by capital goods at USD23,703.2 million (16.74 percent) and consumption goods with USD14,655. 7 million (10.35 percent). During January-December 2020, Tanjung Priok Port was still the main loading point for imported goods in Indonesia with a share of 39.65 percent or USD56,131.0 million.
