Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, December 2020

In December 2020, the import value reached USD14,438.4 million, an increase of 14.01 percent (USD1,774.0 million) compared to the previous month. Likewise, the volume rose 26.31 percent to 15,330.7 thousand tons. The import value in December 2020 consisted of oil and gas USD1,481.8 million (10.26 percent) and non-oil and gas USD12,956.6 million (89.74 percent). During January-December 2020, imports were dominated by three main countries of origin, namely China USD39,634.7 million (28.00 percent), followed by Singapore USD12,341.2 million (8.72 percent), and Japan USD10,672,1 million (7.54 percent). Meanwhile, the loading port in DKI Jakarta Province is still the main loading point for imported goods in Indonesia with a share of 50.89 percent (USD72,037.2 million).
