Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports December 2019

In December 2019 the value of imports reached USD14,506.8 million, down 5.43 percent (USD833.7 million) compared to the previous month. Similarly, the volume fell 11.95 percent to 14,283.6 thousand tons. The import value in December 2019 consisted of oil and gas imports of USD 2,133.2 million (14.70 percent) and non-oil / gas USD 12,373.6 million (85.30 percent).
The three main countries of origin for imports were China with USD 4,115.7 million (28.37 percent), followed by Singapore with USD 1,525.7 million (10.52 percent), and Japan with USD 1,0,088.6 million (7.50 percent) . While the unloading ports in the DKI Jakarta Province are still the main unloading places for imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 49.55 percent (USD7,188.4 million).
