Trade Distribution of Red Chili Pepper in Indonesia 2020

The trade distribution pattern describes the distribution chain of a commodity from producers to end consumers in an area that involves trading activity actors. This publication analyzes the distribution of red chili pepper trade in 34 provinces covering 343 regencies/municipalities. Information regarding the distribution patterns of red chili pepper commodity nationally and regionally was obtained by conducting a survey on producers and traders. The results showed that the distribution of red chili pepper from producers to end consumers in each province involved 3 to 7 trading actors. The main pattern of red chili pepper trade distribution at national level was Farmers-Collector Traders-Retailers-End Consumers.
