Analysis of Current Issue 2020

Analysis of Current Issue 2020 is an annual publication of Statistics Indonesia, presenting some phenomenon occurred during 2020 or conditions that may develop in the coming years. This publication addresses four themes. The first theme is titled Gender Inequality and the Covid-19 Pandemic: Potential Risks in Human Development. Across several social, economic, and political dimensions, women and girls are disproportionately affected by the crisis simply because of their sex. In this theme, the potential risks of Covid-19 covers three aspects: physical and mental health, reproductive health, and economy.The second theme is about entrepreneurship and the factors affecting entrepreneurial intentions. This theme is also interesting because the large contribution of entrepreneurs to Indonesia's Gross Value Added does not followed by the number of the actors. In the employment structure, employee dominates the number of worker in Indonesia, higher than that of employer.Meanwhile, the third and fourth themes are about the Analysis of Indonesia's Foreign Trade and Export Potential during the Pandemic. These two themes are interesting to discuss considering that the Covid-19 pandemic presents its own challenges for Indonesia's foreign trade.
