Abstract

In March 2019 the value of imports reached USD13,451.1 million, up 10.02 percent (USD1,225.1 million) compared to the previous month. Similarly, the volume increased by 4.93 percent to 13,121.5 thousand tons. The import value of March 2019 consists of oil and gas imports of USD1,520.8 million and non-oil and gas imports of USD11,930.3 million. Of the total import values ​​from January to March 2019, the main country of origin occupied by China was USD 10,507.2 million (25.84 percent), followed by Japan USD3,975.3 million (9.77 percent), and Singapore USD3,593.5 million (8.84 percent). Judging from the use of economic goods, imports of raw / auxiliary materials were still dominated by USD30,548.4 million (75.12 percent), followed by capital goods of USD6,743.0 million (16.58 percent), and consumer goods of USD3,377 , 1 million (8.30 percent). According to the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) 1 class of goods, the main group of imported goods is the group of machinery and transportation equipment with a value of USD13,115.5 million (32.25 percent). During January-March 2019 the ports found in the DKI Jakarta Province are still the place to unload the main imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 53.18 percent (USD21,628.4 million).
