Trade Flow of Shallot Commodity in Indonesia 2018

This publication presents the distribution of domestic trade in shallot commodities in 34 provinces in Indonesia covering 254 districts / cities. Based on the results of data collection on farmers and samples of trade business actors, information can be obtained about the description of the pattern of distribution of shallot commodity nationally and in each province. The survey results show that the distribution of shallots from farmers to consumers involves two to six supply chains involving one to five trading businesses. The main pattern of distribution of shallot trade in Indonesia is farmers - traders of collectors - retail traders - end consumers.

In addition to the distribution pattern of shallots trade, this publication also provides an overview of the comparison of the amount of margin received by each level of trading business actors.
