Abstract
The data of seasonal vegetable plants which is collected in Agriculture Survey for Horticulture in Seasonal Vegetable Plants includes 22 types of plant. In 2017, five seasonal vegetable commodities with the largest production in sequence were shallot, cabbage, chili (capsicum annum), potato, and chili (capsicum frutescens). Total production of shallot reached 1.47 million tons, cabbage reached 1.44 million tons, chili (capsicum annum) reached 1.21 million tons, potato reached 1.16 million tons, and chili (capsicum frutencens) reached 1.15 million tons. In 2017, production of shallot, chili (capsicum annum), chili (capsicum frutescens) increased and production of cabbage, potato, decreased compared to 2016.
In 2017, there were 17 types of plant that exported by Indonesia, namely shallot, garlic, red bean, cauliflower, potato, cabbage, radish, carrot, spinach, green bean, chili, mushroom, yard long bean, cucumber, chayote, eggplant, and tomato. Total value of Seasonal Vegetable Plants exports in 2017 reached 14.93 million US $ or decreased by 26.67 percent compared to 2016. Commodity that became the largest foreign exchange contributor was shallot with a net weight of 6.48 thousand tons and export value amounting to 8.81 million US $.
