Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, June 2018

In June 2018 the import value reached USD11,267.9 million, down 36.21 percent (USD6,395.0 million) compared to the previous month. Likewise, the volume decreased 37.50 percent to 10,277.8 thousand tons. Import value in June 2018 consists of USD2,141.0 million in oil and gas imports and USD9,126.9 million in non-oil and gas.

The total import value from January to June 2018, the main country of origin is occupied by China (23.24 percent), followed by Singapore (11.27 percent), and Japan (9.71 percent). Judging from the class of economic goods usage, the import of raw / auxiliary materials was still dominated by USD58,254.7 million (74.89 percent), followed by capital goods USD12,353.0 million (15.88 percent), and consumer goods USD8,184.1 million (10.52 percent).

According to the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) 1 class of goods, the main imported goods group is the machinery and transportation equipment with a value of USD28,391.9 million (31.88 percent). During January-June 2018 the ports in DKI Jakarta Province were still the main loading and unloading of goods in Indonesia with a portion of 50.40 percent (USD44,879.6 million).
