Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, June 2019

In June 2019 the value of imports reached USD10,254.9 million, down 30.55 percent (USD4,511.2 million) compared to the previous month. Likewise the volume fell by 21.30 percent to 11,495.5 thousand tons. The June 2019 import value consisted of oil and gas imports of USD 1,713.1 million and non-oil and gas of USD 9,782.4 million.
The total import value from January to June 2019, the main countries of origin were China with USD20,804.4 million (25.32 percent), followed by Singapore with USD8,018.8 million (9.76 percent), and Japan with USD7,663.4 million (9.33 percent). Viewed from the category of use of economic goods, imports were still dominated by raw / auxiliary materials at USD61,586.1 million (75.06 percent), followed by capital goods at USD14,027.0 million (15.75 percent), and consumer goods at USD7,420 3 million (9.03 percent).
According to 1 digit SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) goods category, the main group of imported goods is the machinery and transportation equipment group with a value of USD26,050.0 million (31.70 percent). During January-June 2019, the port located in DKI Jakarta Province was still the place to unload main imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 51.79 percent (USD42,558.4 million).
