Abstract

  • During the period 2010–2022, Indonesia’s HDI increased on average by 0.77 percent annually.
  • All HDI dimensions including long and healthy life, knowledge, and decent standard of living improved in 2022.
  • „ The increase of HDI is higher than previous year. All dimensions increase higher compared to previous year, particularly long and healthy life and decent standard of living.
  • „ In the long and healthy life dimension, life expectancy at birth in 2022 was recorded as high as 71.85 years. This means children who were born in this year were expected to live 0.28 years longer than those who were born in the previous year.
  • „ In the knowledge dimension, the expected years of schooling indicator stood at 13.10 years, representing an increase of 0.02 years compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the mean years of schooling indicator (people aged 25+ years old) increased by 0.15 years, from 8.54 years in 2021 to 8.69 years in 2022.
  • „ Decent standard of living dimension, represented by adjusted real per capita expenditure, increased by 323 thousand rupiahs (2.90 percent) compared to the previous year.
