Abstract

  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The national NTP in October 2021 was 106.67 or up 0.93 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increased by 1.05 percent, higher than the increase in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) which was 0.12 percent.
  • Nationally, the NTP from January to October 2021 is 104.01 with an It value of 112.09 while Ib is 107.77.
  • In October 2021, the NTP of Bengkulu Province experienced the highest increase (2.94 percent) compared to the increase in the NTP of other provinces. On the other hand, the NTP of Gorontalo Province experienced the largest decline (1.21 percent) compared to the decline in the NTP of other provinces.
  • In October 2021, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.10 percent due to an increase in indexes in all expenditure groups.
  • The national Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in October 2021 was 106.49, up 0.86 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
