Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The national NTP in July 2021 was 103,48, a decrease of 0.11 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The decline in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increased by 0.03 percent, lower than the increase in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) by 0.14 percent.
Nationally, the NTP from January to July 2021 is 103.29 with an It value of 111.21 while Ib is 107.67.
In July 2021, the NTP of Riau Province experienced the highest decline (2,29 percent) compared to the decline in the NTP of other provinces. In contrast, the NTP of DKI Jakarta Province experienced the highest increase (2.58 percent) compared to the increase in the NTP of other provinces.
In July 2021, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.14 percent due to an increase in indexes for all expenditure groups, especially the food, beverage and tobacco group.
The national Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in July 2021 was 103.77, or decreased 0.10 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
