Abstract
- In May 2021, the National General Wholesale Price Index (IHPB) rose by 0.32 percent compared to April 2021. The highest increase in the IHPB occurred in the Agriculture Sector by 0.41 percent.
- Some commodities that experienced price increases in May 2021 include beef, coconut, palm oil, beef, and cooking oil.
- The IHPB change in the 2021 calendar year is 1.51 percent and the year-to-year IHPB change is 2.73 percent.
- The IHPB for Building/Construction Materials in May 2021 rose by 0.38 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in the price of roofing commodities and the like, steel roof trusses, iron concrete, building construction iron, and split stone.
