Abstract

• In May 2020, the National Wholesale Price Index fell by 0.10 percent against April 2020. The highest decrease in Wholesale Price Index occurred in the Agriculture Sector by 0.95 percent.

• Some commodities that experienced price decreases in May 2020 include chicken eggs, palm oil, garlic, onions, red chili, granulated sugar, cooking oil, and rice.

• Changes in Wholesale Price Index in calendar year 2020 amounted to 0.61 percent and year-on-year changes in IHPB of 0.86 percent.

• Building Material / Construction Wholesale Price Index in May 2020 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the previous month.
