Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The national NTP for April 2021 was 102.93 or decreased by 0.35 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The decline in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) falling by 0.10 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) increased by 0.25 percent.
Nationally, the NTP for January-April 2021 was 103.15 with an It value of 110.85 while Ib was 107.47.
In April 2021, the NTP of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province experienced the highest increase (2.15 percent) compared to the increase in the NTP of other provinces. On the other hand, Riau Province NTP experienced the largest decrease (2.26 percent) compared to the decrease in NTP of other provinces.
In April 2021, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.27 percent due to an increase in the index for the ten expenditure groups, while one other group, namely the Education Group, was relatively stable.
The national agricultural household business exchange rate (NTUP) in April 2021 was 103.55 or decreased by 0.31 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
