Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The national NTP for December 2020 was 103.25, an increase of 0.37 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which increased by 0.82 percent, higher than the increase in Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) of 0.44 percent.
  • Nationally, NTP for January-December 2020 is 101.65 with an It value of 107.46 while Ib is 105.72.
  • In December 2020, Riau Province's NTP experienced the highest increase (2.37 percent) compared to the increase in NTP of other provinces. On the other hand, Aceh Province NTP experienced the largest decrease (1.12 percent) compared to the decrease in NTP of other provinces.
  • In December 2020 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by 0.58 percent which was caused by an increase in the index for all expenditure groups.
  • The national Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in December 2020 was 104.00, an increase of 0.70 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
