Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The national NTP in May 2020 was 99.47, down 0.85 percent compared to the NTP in the previous month. The decline in NTP was due to the Farmer Received Price Index (It) which fell by 0.86 percent, greater than the decline in the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) which fell by 0.01 percent.
In May 2020, Jambi Province NTP experienced the biggest decrease (3.53 percent) compared to the decline in other provinces. In contrast, the FTT of Kalimantan Barat Province experienced the highest increase (1.04 percent) compared to the FTT of other provinces.
In May 2020 there was a change in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Indonesia by -0.07 percent due to the decline in the index in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group.
The national Agriculture Household Exchange (NTUP) in May 2020 was 100.16, down 0.96 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
