Abstract

"The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in January 2012 was 130.90 or inflated 0.76 percent from December 2011 at 129.91. In January 2012, the changes of each expenditure group as follows: the foodstuff increased from 152.76 to 155.59 or inflated 1.85 percent; the prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco increased from 138.57 to 139.47 or inflated 0.65 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel increased from 123.95 to 124.62 or inflated 0.54 percent; the clothing decreased from 136.35 to 136.24 or deflated 0.08 percent; the health increased from 120.79 to 121.40 or inflated 0.51 percent; the education, recreation and sport increased from 123.94 to 124.12 or inflated 0.15 percent, and the transportation, communication and financial services increased from 108.14 to 108.39 or inflated 0.23 percent.

The inflation rate calendar year (January) 2012 was 0.76 percent and the inflation rate year on year (January 2012 over January 2011) was 3.65 percent.

The main component in January 2012 inflated 0.44 percent. The inflation rate of main component in calendar year (January) 2012 was 0.44 percent and the inflation rate of main component year on year (January 2012 over January 2011) was 4.29 percent.
