Abstract

  • The October 2005 Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 135.15, or inflated 8.70% from September 2005 at 124.33. All indices of expenditure groups also increased. The foodstuff index changed from 116.73 to 125.18 or inflated 7.24%. prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco from 124.10 to 128.08 or 3.21% inflation. housing, water, electric, gas and fuel increased from 130.45 to 140.10 or 7.40% inflation. clothing from 117.69 to 119.86 or 1.84% inflation. health from 117.47 to 118.59 or 0.95% inflation. education, recreation and sport 134.35 to 136.23 or 1.40% inflation. transport, communication and financial services from 127.91 to 164.45 or 28.57% inflation.
