Jakarta, February 14 – The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Kemenko PMK) and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance data sharing and collaboration. This agreement aims to support the collection, use, and development of statistical data for human development and cultural programs.
Acting Chief Statistician of BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating that accurate data is crucial for designing effective policies. “BPS is committed to providing high-quality data to support Kemenko PMK’s programs. Reliable statistics are key to developing a skilled and competitive workforce,” she said.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, Pratikno, highlighted how essential data is for policy coordination. “Our ministry relies on data to align policies across multiple institutions. Without solid data, we can’t work effectively,” he explained. With President Prabowo’s five quick win programs and initiatives involving eight ministries relevant to human resources and development, BPS data will play a crucial role in shaping well-informed policies.
As part of the visit, Minister Pratikno and his team toured the National Statistics Command Center at BPS, reaffirming their commitment to using data-driven approaches for national development.
