Jakarta - In carrying out its duties, an institution cannot work alone. "We need partners, we need partners," said Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Dwikorita Karnawati during a welcome speech at the 2019 BMKG National Coordination Meeting which was followed by the signing of the BMKG Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its partners dozens, including the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) represented by the Main Secretary, Adi Lumaksono, (24/4).
Dwikorita appreciates all partners involved in the collaboration that has been established so far. BMKG formed pentahelix partnership with the term ABCGM (Academia, Business, Community, Government, and Media).
In the partnership, BPS plays a role as "G", namely Government, which provides data for policy determination for the Government of Indonesia. The signing of this MoU will form a synergy between BMKG and BPS regarding the provision, utilization and development of data and / or statistical information in the fields of meteorology, climatology and geophysics, such as climate data, air quality, earthquake frequency, and others.
"Hopefully this MoU, cooperation between us will be increasingly tight. "BMKG operations are increasingly effective in achieving speed, accuracy, and accuracy as well as the breadth of reach and are easily understood by the community," hoped Dwikorita when closing her welcome speech.
