Joint Commitment of K / L in Preparation of PMTB Disaggregation

August 27, 2018 | BPS Activities

Jakarta - Head of BPS, Kecuk Suhariyanto and Minister of National Development Planning / Head of Bappenas, Bambang PS Brodjonegoro, symbolically expressed a joint commitment with the ministries / agencies (K / L) in preparing the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Disaggregation (PMTB) at Sari Pacific Hotel ( 23/8).

In the socialization attended by representatives of the Ministries / Agencies, Kecuk conveyed the importance of the preparation of PMTB disaggregation which is currently being carried out by BPS. "PMTB or also known as physical investment is one of the main components driving the economy in Indonesia. BPS GDP data release on August 6 showed that the contribution of PMTB to GDP according to Expenditures in Quarter II of 2018 reached 31.15 percent, with a growth of 5.87 percent (yoy); higher than economic growth of 5.27 percent (yoy), "said Kecuk.

Furthermore, he explained that Investment is also one of the most important variables in the economy, because it has a large multiplier effect such as encouraging national income growth, encouraging job creation, and as an equal distribution tool between regions, sectors and individuals. "To be able to increase economic growth, the state must be able to create a conducive, trustworthy and safe investment climate. "Not only for business people in the country, but also for investors from abroad," continued Kecuk.

This was also agreed by Minister Bambang. "Indonesia will only be able to upgrade to develop country if the source of economic growth comes from investment. Not only rely on consumption, "said Bambang. He also hopes that investment data can be socialized well to the regions, so that regional heads can understand the PMTB data, and can attract investors to their regions.

Not to forget, Bambang appealed that each related K / L could support and contribute to cross-sector data in the preparation of PMTB data disaggregation. This needs to be done so that the resulting PMTB data will be as expected.
