April 18, 2018 | Other Activities

Jakarta - Competent, systematic collaborative, innovative, and service-oriented into four priority cultures that must be owned by BPS employees. This was stated by Head of BPS, Kecuk Suhariyanto when opening Culture Change Workshop, BPS Towards A World Class NSO "With Organizational Culture Changes, BPS Realizing ASN PIA" at Hotel Grand Mercure Kemayoran (18/4).

In the event, the change agents at the provincial BPS (center) and BPS, called Change Champion, were invited to discuss the thinking of the direction of the change program being carried by BPS. This activity is a collaboration between BPS and Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). Present as a guest speaker is Mr. Andrew Mann, ABS Program Manager of Culture and Capability and team.

In realizing these four priorities, Kecuk mentions there are major keys that must be done, including continuing to learn. "Please never stop learning, adapt the technology," he said. He encourages his staff to use technology efficiently and also to read a lot. In addition, communication is important to change those who are resistant to change within the organization.

"Give clear information how they act in change," he explained. Kecuk also expects the Change Champion to be an example in his work environment. "Be a good leader," the message. The service orientation is of further concern. Data users can now see CPM not only in the office but in social media that has been actively informing data and BPS activities. "Let's continue. Make people closer to statistics, "he said. (Humas BPS / Koen)
