Abstract

fishing port is a place where fishing vessels dock, anchor and/or unload fish, which is equipped with shipping safety facilities and fisheries support activities. In 2023, there will be 532 fishing ports spread across all provinces in Indonesia. Aceh is still the province with the largest number of fishing ports in Indonesia wich based on the Decree of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia No. 109 of 2021 concerning the National Fishing Port Master Plan, fishing ports are classified into 7 (seven) categories or types.Of the 532 active fishing ports in Indonesia, 409 of them have Fish Auction Place facilities or markets in the port that function as a place for transactions for the sale of fish caught landed at the port (76.88%).
