Executive Summary of Consumption and Expenditure of Population of Indonesia March 2024

Apart from GDP, there are still many indicators that can measure the level of people'swelfare. These indicators are used to measure and evaluate development programsthat cover various aspects of community life. One of the BPS surveys that producesmany indicators of people's welfare for monitoring development is the NationalSocioeconomic Survey (Susenas). Susenas provides information regarding expenditureon population consumption, both food and non-food commodities (such as housing,education and health). This information is very important for monitoring the level ofcommunity welfare through the resulting indicators, such as indicators of poverty andinequality, food security, expenditure for population consumption, and communitynutritional consumption.
