Abstract

This report presents data on the harvest area and production of corn commodities in 2023. The KSA survey recorded that the corn harvest area reached 2.48 million hectares in 2023 with an average of around 206.34 thousand hectares per month. Several provinces with the largest harvest areas are East Java, Central Java, North Sumatra, South Sulawesi and West Nusa Tenggara. Meanwhile, the five provinces with the lowest harvested area are the Riau Islands, South Papua, Bangka Belitung Islands, Papua Mountains and North Kalimantan. In addition to harvested area, the corn production data presented is estimated by combining KSA results with data from the 2023 Ubinan Survey and the Corn Conversion Survey (SKJG2020). Production of dry shelled corn with a moisture content of 28 percent reached 19.99 million tons with a monthly average of around 1.67 million tons in 2023.
